Dr. Georgios Arampatzis is an Agricultural Engineer of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a Master's degree in soil improvement and a PhD in water movement in porous media. He works as Research Director (Researcher A') at the Institute of Soil and Water Resources of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization - DIMITRA. His research interests focus on irrigation water management, water movement in the unsaturated zone and the water-soil-plant relationship. He has a working experience of more than 20 years and has participated in more than 50 research projects focusing on water resources management and monitoring and was scientific leader in about 20 of them. He has more than 90 publications, of which more than 36 are in peer-reviewed journals.
