Σύντομο Βιογραφικό

Ο Κωνσταντίνος Φερεντίνος είναι Κύριος Ερευνητής στο Ινστιτούτο Εδαφοϋδατικών Πόρων (Τμήμα Γεωργικής Μηχανικής) του ΕΛΓΟ-ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ, και Associate Editor του επιστημονικού περιοδικού “Biosystems Engineering” (Elsevier). Είναι κάτοχος Πτυχίου Γεωπόνου από το Τμήμα Αξιοποίησης Φυσικών Πόρων και Γεωργικής Μηχανικής του Γεωπονικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (1997), καθώς και Master of Science (1999) και Διδακτορικού (2002) από το Τμήμα Βιολογικής και Περιβαλλοντικής Μηχανικής του Πανεπιστημίου Cornell (Η.Π.Α.), με δεύτερη ειδίκευση (minor) στην Πληροφορική (Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη).

Έχει συνεργαστεί ως διδάσκων «ΠΔ 407» και ερευνητής με διάφορα ιδρύματα (Πανεπιστήμιο Cornell, Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, Γεωπονικό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών, Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλίας), και έχει δημοσιεύσει 30 άρθρα σε διεθνή περιοδικά με κριτές (journals) και περισσότερα από 50 σε διεθνή επιστημονικά συνέδρια, ενώ κατέχει και 2 διεθνή διπλώματα ευρεσιτεχνίας (ΗΠΑ).

Τα κύρια ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα περιλαμβάνουν τα ευφυή πληροφοριακά συστήματα στη γεωργική μηχανική, την τεχνητή νοημοσύνη, τα ασύρματα δίκτυα αισθητήρων, τη γεωπονία ελεγχόμενου περιβάλλοντος και την υδροπονία.
